These are interesting political times. Seeing the Republicans getting nailed by their own constituants is a nice counter balance I feel like has long been needed in this political debate. Both Republicans and Democrats have just both become useless exaggerations of what each of their parties once stood for, but neither of them work right.

I actually see a positive here. We are in a brand new age, and our political systems are still struggling to grasp at what’s going on. So in a way its like our government is in a major state of shifting to try and grapple with the problems of the new century.

What I do like is that the tea party has brought attention to where it belongs. Their plans are ludicrous because they plan to cut great programs in order to fuel farther corporate tax breaks and top percent earner tax breaks.

So now there is a new idea. Obama’s just pointless spending to spend in the stimulus package was equally as ludicrous.

So the balance of that would be smart governing. Let’s hope after this next political cycle or two, now that people again have the chance to confront their politicians, we may stand a chance to actually get there.
